Position: Account Manager - Indiana/Ohio

Marmon/Keystone currently has an opening for an Account Manager in the Indiana/Ohio area. 

The Account Manager position covers territory primarily in Indiana but also in southern IL, SW Ohio and north and west Kentucky. The candidate would ideally live in the Columbus, Cincinnati or Indianapolis area.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultative sales approach to develop new business opportunities with top customers.
  • Proactively identify opportunities within industry end markets by targeting other customers with similar needs as existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities for value added sales by understanding bottleneck in operations, estimating effort for customer to complete activities.
  • Daily in-person contact with customers. These visits should be pre-planned with a definite purpose in mind.
  • Establish relationships across different functions at the customer including buyer, supply chain manager, operations manager, engineering and quality department.
  • Identify and understand structural shifts within our customers product lines/market to enable M/K to adapt and evolve in tandem with the market place and customer.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of your top customers’ needs


Key Qualifications:

  • History of problem solving and value propositioning
  • Strong knowledge of pipe/tubing/bar
  • Business development/ project management
  • Minimum of 2-3 years consultative sales experience.
  • BA or BS degree; sales or engineering degree is a plus
  • Self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills
